Jaybird Yearbook and Newspaper

The Gehlen Aire & Rosarian

The purpose of the Gehlen Catholic Journalism Department is two fold:

1.  To provide high school students the opportunity to apply outside the classroom the literacy, technology, & critical thinking skills for the 21st century

2.  To provide coverage of Gehlen Catholic's events to the students & the Gehlen Catholic family

The Gehlen Catholic Journalism Department is responsible both for the Gehlen-Aire (newspaper) & the Rosarian (called "The Torch." "The Torch" was the name of the St. Joseph Catholic High School Yearbook from the school's early beginnings until 1953.  When the central Catholic school was opened in 1953-1954, the newspaper's name was changed to "The Rosarian.")
